Canada Research Chairs @ Acadia University
The Canada Research Chairs Program stands at the centre of a national strategy to make Canada one of the world's top five countries for research and development. By helping Canadian universities become world-class centres of research and research training, the Chairs Program contributes to enhancing Canada's competitiveness in the global, knowledge-based economy, improving Canadians' health, and enriching our social and cultural life.
Acadia currently has four Canada Research Chairs.  The Program continues to be central to developing capacity associated with our Strategic Research Plan theme areas:  the Environment; Materials Science; Modelling; Information Technology and Society; Cultures, Civilizations, and Citizenship;and Health and Wellness.
